With a post-pandemic landscape characterized by mounting environmental
challenges and even greater socio-economic disparities, the pursuit for
sustainable futures has become an imperative. The concept of sustainable futures,
one that meets the needs of the present without compromising the demands of the
future, hinges on a global perspectives in research and development. Research
and development serve as the cornerstone of sustainable development efforts;
providing the knowledge, tools, and innovations needed to address pressing
challenges and advancing sustainable solutions across various sectors.
Recognizing the importance of holistic research and development approaches
to address complex sustainability issues, the Asian Society of Teachers for
Research, Inc. in cooperation with the Philippine School Doha invite
researchers, scholars and educators to the 4th International Conference on
Development Education (ICDE 2024) on May 3-5, 2024 at one of the Gulf’s
dynamic city, Doha, Qatar!
The fourth iteration of the Conference, the ICDE 2024 is chaired by Dr.
Alexander S. Acosta, School Principal of the Philippine School Doha. The
4th ICDE 2024 is an in-person Conference to be conducted at the Philippine
School Doha Campus, Doha, Qatar.
Themed, “Sustainable Futures: Global Perspectives on Research and
Development,” the 4th ICDE 2024 aimed to: (1) provide a forum for research and
development initiatives from the international community that exemplifies
sustainability; (2) disseminate results of thesis/dissertation in basic, tertiary, and
graduate education levels; (3) create avenues for publication of new researches;
and (4) establish partnership and collaborations across researchers in a global
context.
