Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates for
Twin Districts Workforce Development Area
i
About 2024 Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates
Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates are calculated from data collected in a national survey of
employers. Data on occupational employment and wages are collected from employers of every size, in every state,
in metropolitan and nonmetropolitan areas, in all industry sectors. These estimates are cross-industry estimates;
each occupations employment and wage estimates are calculated from data collected from employers in all industry
sectors. Self-employed persons are not included in the survey or estimates. The May 2024 OEWS estimates are
based on the 2018 Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system.
For more information
Answers to frequently asked questions about the OEWS data are available at www.bls.gov/oes/oes_ques.htm.
Technical Notes, Methodology and Archived Documentation are available at https://www.bls.gov/oes/oes_doc.htm.
The data contained in this report for Workforce Development Areas have not been validated by BLS and are not,
therefore, official BLS data series
NOTES:
MDES has calculated entry-level wage rates as the mean of the first third of the wage distribution and experienced-
level wage rates as the mean of the upper two-thirds of the wage distribution. Data on experience level was not
collected as part of the OEWS Survey.
Estimates for detailed occupations do not sum to the totals because the totals include occupations not shown
separately.
Annual wages have been calculated by multiplying the hourly mean wage by a “year-round, full-time” hours figure of
2,080 hours.
ii
* Estimate not released
**Wage is equal to or greater than $115.00 per hour or $239,200 per year.
--Wages for some occupations that do not generally work year-round, full-time, are reported either as hourly wages
or annual salaries depending on how they are typically paid.
