Every year, the American Petroleum Institute (API) hosts a Pipeline Conference & Expo that brings diverse
industry professional from across the globe together to share information and ideas of the latest trends,
topics and insights of the oil and gas industry. And, every year API publicly solicits a Call for Abstracts
attracting some of the brightest minds and leaders in the industry areas of pipeline, control room, and
cybernetics segments.
Deadlines
• OCTOBER 24, 2025 – Last day for abstract
submissions
• DECEMBER 19, 2025 – Planning committee
communication about abstract selection to all
submitters
• JANUARY 31, 2026 – Last Day for presentations
and/or session content to be uploaded for committee
review
• FEBRUARY 27, 2026 – Final Conference
presentations from speakers. No changes beyond
requests from API legal will be accepted after this date
When abstracts are submitted timely through API’s system, SessionBoard, with all required fields complete
and a clear value proposition for the event, the likelihood of selection into the program increases. Those
selected will receive additional information on next steps through SessionBoard.
Abstract Submission Checklist
All required fields complete prior to submission:
• Submissions are anchored in research, expertise and study
• Abstract submissions are product and marketing neutral
• Title is relevant and under 100 characters
• Abstract is under 4,000 characters on proposed topic
• A professional photo and 2,000 character speaker bio submitted
