
Basic Color Mixing
·Start with just a drop or two to adjust the color.

·Always allow the tinted color to dry before adjusting it.
·Most colors dry darker than what they look like they are wet.
·It’s best to tint in daylight conditions not in artificial light.
COLOR MIXING
Primaries - The three basic colors.
A=Red B=Yellow C=Blue
Secondaries - these are achieved with an equal mixture of two of the three primaries.
Orange Green Purple
A+B B+C C+A
Intermediate - these are created by mixing two primaries in a ratio of 2:1.
Reddish Orangish Yellowish Maroon Deep Deep
Orange Yellow Green Purple Blue Green
2A+B 2B+A 2B+C 2A+C 2C+A 2C+B
Tertiaries - these are created by mixing the three primaries together in different percentages.
Rust Olive Brown
2A+B+C 2B+A+C 2C+A+B
o lighten use white.
To darken use black. Be careful with black, using too much can muddy the color.
