Lucknow: Like last year,
eight higher educational in-
stituteslocated inUttarPra-
deshfiguredamongthetop100
academicinstitutions of the
countryin the‘overall catego-
ry'list of National Institutio-
nalRankingFramework by
Unionministry ofeducation
on Monday.
WhileIIT-Kanpurbagged
thetopslotinthe'Innovation',
anew category included this
year,it,alongwithBHUretai-
ned theirlastyear'spositions
and clinched 5th and lith
ranksrespectively in the ove-
rallcategory.
Being at the same rank,
IIT-K's score dropped margi-
nally,from77.83in2022to77.23
in 2023.Babasaheb Bhimrao
AmbedkarUniversity which
ranked78thlastyearjumped
to69th this time.Its score im-
provedbyalmost threepoints
-from46.39 in2022 to49.53 in
2023.
Slippingdownbytwoposi-
tions,BHU's Indian Institute
ofTechnology got 3lstrank
against 29th in 2022,while
King George's Medical Uni-
versitywent down to77thpla-
ce,from75th in2022.
Even thoughKGMU'ssco-
reincreased by1.5marksfrom
47in2022 to 48.5 in2023,it's
rank slipped.Twoprivateuni-
versities,Amity University
(Noida) and Shiv Nadar Uni
