ICAIS 2024 – INFORMATION ABOUT IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION
Parcipang in-person at ICAIS 2024 maximizes the conference aendee’s experience through:
• direct interacon with speakers, poster presenters, and exhibitors;
• networking with others in formal and informal sengs;
• parcipaon in social events, pre-conference and post-conference tours; and
• experiencing all that Halifax has to oer as a culturally diverse city.
The ICAIS 2024 organizers recognize that for many people the opon to travel to parcipate in-
person is not an opon due to economics, employment restricons, and many other reasons
and have provided the opon of virtual parcipaon in a limited capacity.
ICAIS 2024 will not be a hybrid event as it was in 2022, with all presentaons live-streamed in
real-me as well as being available online for viewing when convenient to parcipants in
dierent me zones around the world. This means that although we will be oering knowledge
sharing opportunies for people joining virtually, there will be several aspects of the conference
only available to in-person aendees.
PLENARY SESSION PRESENTATIONS
• All plenary session speaker presentaons will be recorded and live-streamed in real-me
(Atlanc me), according to the published schedule in Fourwaves.
• There will be a queson and answer period following each plenary presentaon.
• The session moderator will accept in-person and virtual quesons aer the presentaon.
• Virtual parcipants will be able to parcipate in the live Q&A session by typing their
quesons into Fourwaves,
• In-person and virtual parcipants will be able to ask quesons of plenary speakers
through the feature in Fourwaves. See below “How to submit quesons to presenters”.
• Recorded plenary session presentaons will be available online within one hour of each
session concluding (Atlanc me) according to the published schedule in Fourwaves.
• The recorded presentaons will be available for viewing online unl November 1, 2024.
CONCURRENT SESSION PRESENTATIONS
• All speakers in concurrent sessions (in-person and virtual) are required to provide a pre-
recorded version of their presentaon.
• There are three to ve concurrent sessions each day, so there may be several
presentaons of interest to in-person parcipants that are scheduled at the same me
in dierent sessions. This approach provides the opportunity for all conference
parcipants to view recorded presentaons at their convenience, unl November 1,
2024.
• For virtual and in-person parcipants, the recordings of all presentaons will be
available online within one hour of each session concluding (Atlanc me), according to
the published schedule in Fourwaves.
