TOON iNTO FUN aT WWW.TOON-BOOKS.COM
Dear readers,
All my life, I have made, printed and published books, working
with artists who are also storytellers. I’ve loved reading and reading
comics, and as a mother I have shared that passion with my own
kids. I now want to share that same passion with a new generation
of readers. At TOON, we believe that the way to do that is to
publish beautifully produced hardcover books of comics and
visual narratives that bring the text to life in a way that capture
young readers’ imaginations. It’ll make them want to read, read
on—and read more. Making sense out of reading with the aid of
visuals may be the best way to become a lifelong reader, one who
knows how to read for pleasure and for information—a reader
who loves to read.
We present our books with four reading levels:
• LEVEL 1: First comics for brand new readers
• LEVEL 2: Easy-to-read comics for beginning readers
• LEVEL 3: Chapter books for advanced beginners
• TOON Graphics for Visual Readers, for ages 8+
Take a look. I’m sure you’ll find just the right book for someone you love and want to inspire. And get in touch
at mail@toon-books.com. We want to hear what you think of our books–it will inspire us.
—Françoise Mouly

TOON Graphics are comics and visual narratives that bring text to life in a way that captures young readers
imaginations and makes them want to read on—and read more. Children develop their aesthetic sense when they
experience the relationship of text to picture in all its communicative power. Making meaning out of reading with
the aid of visuals may be the best way to become a lifelong reader, one who knows how to read for pleasure and for
information—a reader who loves to read.
