2025 STUTTGART REDS OFFENSE ANALYSIS
The purpose of this analysis is to measure the Stuttgart Reds offensive production for the 2025
season. To do this correctly I factored in data from the official DBL website and Easyscore DBL
manager Chris Palatinus.
Key terms:
Domestic Players: These are the local/current members of the Stuttgart Reds who were a part
of the 2024 season and had at least 1 plate appearance(PA).
Domestic “Core” Players: These are local/current members of the Stuttgart Reds who had at
least 10 plate appearances(PA) during the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
International Players: These are players who were brought in/recruited to join the Stuttgart
Reds. These players are financially compensated in various ways at different levels depending
on the agreements between the individual and the greater TVC/Stuttgart Reds organization.
OFFENSIVE PLAYING TIME
So while the total PA’s for Domestic players stayed almost the same, the distribution shifted
heavily — with players like Köhler, Weber, and Jonas Van Bergen taking on much larger roles,
while others (Blesing, Uhl, Schaffer brothers) saw little to no PA’s. This was largely due to these
players giving more contribution on the mound rather than an offensive need.

The purpose of this analysis is to measure the Stuttgart Reds pitching staff production for the
2025 season. To do this correctly data was sourced from the official DBL website and Easyscore
DBL manager Chris Palatinus.
I’ll highlight the total team pitching performances of both 2024 and the 2025 season. This
includes the data from Domestic and International pitchers. Domestic “Core” pitchers had at
least 2 innings pitched in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Overall, in 2025 the pitching staff got better at run prevention and missing bats, even with more
command-related mistakes.
DOMESTIC PITCHING TOTALS
The core domestic pitchers took on more than twice the innings while cutting ERA and WHIP
dramatically. Opponent batting average plummeted, proving hitters were far less successful.
Weaknesses remain in command (walks, hit batters, wild pitches) — areas for continued focus.

The significant growth in offensive production is equally attributable to the impact of Head
Coach Austin Bull, who assumed head coaching responsibilities on June 22. Even prior to this
transition, Coach Bull was instrumental in driving player development, setting high standards,
and leading by example. His leadership has been a crucial factor in the team’s continued
progress and overall performance.
